If you’re looking for a quality shampoo for your Shih Tzu, this product is a fantastic choice. It cleans thoroughly without stripping the natural oils from their coat, leaving it soft and shiny. The formula is gentle on their sensitive skin and has a pleasant, mild fragrance that lasts. I appreciate that it helps to detangle their fur, making grooming much easier. Plus, it’s free of harsh chemicals, so I feel good about using it regularly. Overall, a highly effective shampoo that keeps my Charlie looking and feeling great!
use this shampoo for all my pets works great on all breeds
Smells really good. I love it!!
Great product
I love this shampoo. Its thick, lathers well, smells good and clean. I feel like the skin soothing capabilities aren’t very noticeable though. Would buy again.
I've been using this shampoo on my fur baby for a long time. Made in the USA! Gentle. Smells great. Lathers fast. And rinse is easy. Makes bathing time a pleasure. Also my dog is sensitive to fragrance... And he has no issues with this one.
Good product
This Oatmeal shampoo is a quality product. This is the second time that I have ordered and received a gallon. I break it down into usable squeeze bottles. (for economy) My Shetland Island Sheltie (best dog I ever had) has long passed but she was greatly relieved by the itching common with her 3 layer coat. I now have 3 small Yorkies that get bathed weekly (because they have a lot of fun year round in our salt water pool) and this shampoo helps with the skin drying from so much water exposure. Probably never use any other shampoo for our fur abies.
I love this shampoo for my Aussies. it leaves their hair soft and shiny. They look so beautiful after their baths. I also love them smell. It has a nice fresh scent. This shampoo goes on nice and rinses out easily. Brushing the Aussies is a breeze with this shampoo. They have less tangles. It is definitely my favorite dog shampoo.
I love this shampoo. Having multiple, hairy, shedding dogs that love to play in dirt, I end up doing at bath at least every week. It smells great and doesn’t irritate the skin of my dogs even when I need to use it on them every week. After finding I loved it I tried to save money by buying this big jug. The jug comes and has no pump. So I thought, “That’s fine I’ll just pour it into the previous bottles I have that were empty”. Except their smaller bottles have some of the smallest openings ever and it’s a nightmare because the shampoo is pretty thick so I can’t even use a funnel to make it work. Seriously Tropiclean?! Were you expecting me to continuously pick this thing up every time to get more?
Very good for my dogs. Smell good. Very soft. Not irritate my dog skin.
Newer version gallon size (white bottle) seems less concentrated than the bottle I bought 18 months ago (green bottle). Company must be trying to save money, will have to reconsider this brand once this one is empty.
Smells great and makes my pets coats so soft and shiny. This has a 16:1 dilution ratio so a little product goes a long way!
Not that my dogs have sensitive skin did I choose this but more do because it is a milder shampoo. The consistency is rather thick, which is not bad but you have to find a way to put it into smaller bottles without over spill. I prefer to water it down a bit so it's easier to apply. Leaves the dogs coat very nice and soft. The sweet coconut scent is great too.
I have two dogs, and needed to get a soap that would last for a while and help whiten them. One dog is a white toy poodle, and the soap doesn't really make him as white as the soap I used to buy. The other is a Blue Merle Aussiedoodle, his white patches are slightly brighter, but not as bright as the times I used the toy's old whitening shampoo. This does not work as a conditioner for my dogs, so I still need that on the side. The scent is amazing though! My son is obsessed with the smell and color (which is a gorgeous blue). It still takes a lot of soap (once properly diluted) to wash my bigger dog, but definitely is saving us money!! ^_^ So, will definitely buy again, just don't recommend if you want your puppy-friends to be "true white".
Unlike most shampoos where vets do NOT recommend shampooing a dog every week, this shampoo is the exception to the vet recommendation. We have a Leonberger puppy, and its more than puppy order we are dealing with. That order can take over the aroma of a house. So the need to shampoo every week is a requirement. So the good news about this shampoo is you can shampoo your dog safely on a weekly bases but the reason for not giving it a 5-star rating, is the clean smell for our puppy doesn't last in the summer months in the PNW. So we have had to supplement occasionally with Lillian Ruff Waterless Dog Shampoo should the smells return before the next weekend shampooing. The combination of the two works well together. For most other breeds, I believe you will not have to go to this extreme, and just this shampoo should do it just fine. I highly recommend this shampoo because it is gentle and healthy for a dog's skin to use on a weekly basis.
This is the real deal! it cleans well, It is very gentle of the dogs skin. If your dog has allergies and gets that funny smell then you need to help them with regular and frequent baths. This is the stuff. I learned about it asking a kennel what they were using because it works so well. The skin and coat are soft and have a fresh clean smell. You can use it daily if you want. It comes as a thick concentrate and you are supposed to dilute it but instead I decant it into an old shampoo bottle with a top pump. Then when I place it on the dog with my hands it stays where I put it instead of draining off and getting wasted. Truth be told I don't care much for commercial people shampoo either and I started using it o me because it was there and I liked everything about it. SURPRISE. It works great on people too (although they may not recommend it and I have not checked.) I assume it 's okay for people because you have to use your hands to wash the dog and they tell you to massage the shampoo into the dog. Sothis is a total winner. I wish it were not priced so high but it is the real deal. If you want the things this shampoo does then get it and be happy.
We love this shampoo! It's gentle (our OES has allergies, so gentle was a must), lathers up well, and smells great (without being too strong). It also seems to whiten our mostly-white OES's coat better than anything else we've tried. Keeping in mind, of course, that we've only used mild, hypo-allergenic shampoos. So there are probably stronger whiteners out there, but this one whitens AND is gentle. That's a big win! So after using up two bottles of the 20 oz bottles, we went ahead and bought this big gallon-sized concentrated one. It's a terrific value since we already knew we loved the product. Our pup still doesn't like baths too much, but my husband and I just love the way this shampoo leaves him soft and clean-smelling, so the pup gets extra snuggles after bath time - which he loves!
I got this for my French Bulldogs who are always itching for various reasons and have short smooth coats. (Their problems are fleas, too much detergent left in bedding causing skin irritation, too much soap residue, sometimes mild fungus infections, burning themselves on heating vents for warmth etc.) They always have dry or itchy skin so oatmeal and tea tree are perfect ingredients. A small amount makes a low suds instantly so it washes like soap but it raise those little fleas up instantly! Pick them off and drown them! Fleas seem hard to get rid of these days so if you want to wash them out-this works great. Must be the tea tree oil which is toxic to dogs and cats in high quantities but I am sure the concentration is low in this product! The smell is nice and mild so if you do not like the smell of dog shampoo this works. You won't really smell it on your dog unless you smell for it but it gets rid of smelly dog smell just like any shampoo.I also use a water bowl additive from this company (Tropiclean) that is working on bad breath so they seem reliable!
